Joseph Cherry						[Photo]

Joseph Anthony Cherry, 100, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 12:20 
a.m. Feb. 15, 2005.

Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Thibodaux Funeral Home and 8 to 10 
a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Co-cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian 
burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at St. 
Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Giammancheri Cherry; daughters and sons-in-
law, Virginia Marie C. and Louis Alvaro Jimenez, and Patricia Ann C. and Lynn 
Paul Lasseigne; grandchildren, Bivonia Maria Jimenez, Mariella Teresa Jimenez, 
daughters of Louis and Virginia Jimenez, Bradley Joseph Lasseigne and Dawson 
Paul Lasseigne, sons of Lynn and Patricia Lasseigne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Cherry (Francesco Cerasa) and 
Virginia Marone Cherry (Vincenza Marone Cerasa); brothers, Gasper and Sam 
Cherry; brother, Gregory "Roland" Cherry; and sisters, Mary Cherry Bonfiglio, 
Pauline Cherry Messina Spizale and Josephine Cherry.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
