"Jerry" Myers, 68, a native of Pascagoula, Miss., and resident of Luling, died at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 22, 2005 of myleofibrosis. Visitation will be 8:30 to 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Evelyn Scheeler Myers; mother, Melva B. Myers; brother, Robert P. Myers; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth "Jerry" Jr. and Dianne Myers, John and Jacquelynne Myers and James and Tammie Myers; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda M. and Harry Dugas, Brenda Myers Brown and Sheila M. and Mark Maheu; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Myers. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and a retired chief chemist, past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 2409, the state Squires -chairman, state program director, state membership director, aide to state deputy and a Louisiana Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Msgr. Paul J. Richard Assembly. Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
