A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Terry Lirette and his wife, Alice, and Wilton Lirette Jr. and his wife, Felicia; daughters, Jerrydine Pellegrin and her husband, Eugene, and Rosalind Martin and her husband, Tommy; brother, Elmore Chauvin; sisters, Rose Dupre and Marylee Cheramie; grandchildren, Mark Lirette and his wife, Stacie, Angela Lirette, Eileen Lirette Porche, Brent Lirette and his wife, Lori, Tammy Pellegrin Scott and her husband, Kevin, Cory Pellegrin and his wife, Allyson, James, Gene, and Melissa Pellegrin, Bridget Sachaust and her husband, Bobby, Laura Stokes and her husband, Billy, Daniel Martin, Denise Fournier and her husband, Dean, Tina Samaha and her husband, Mitch, and Becky Cangelosi; 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, her husband, Wilton Lirette Sr., parents, Wilson and Florence Authement Chauvin; daughter, Rosalie Lirette; grandchildren, Nicole Ann Lirette and Neal Pellegrin; brothers, Milford, Melvin and Rene Chauvin; and sisters, Simone Burgess and Wilimae and Mary Chauvin. She was Catholic and a member of the Ladies Alter Society. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
