Robert "Bobby" Joseph Guidry Sr., 64, a native and resident of Houma, died at 
12:16 a.m. Feb. 15, 2005.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Chauvin 
Funeral Home in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. 
Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 
Cemetery in Houma.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Babin Guidry of Houma; mother, Cecelia Marie 
Bourg Guidry of Houma; son, Robert J. "Bobby" Guidry Jr. of Gonzales; daughters, 
Connie Guidry of Baton Rouge, Wendy Guidry Adams of Thibodaux; brothers, Duane 
Guidry of Aurora, Colo., and Paul Bourg of Houma; sister, Mary Ann Rodrigue of 
Houma; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis J. Guidry Sr.; brothers, Hayes, 
Arlen, Louis Jr. and Curtis Guidry; sisters, Myrl James, Lottie Bowman and Betty 
Guidry.

He was a sales supervisor with Sea Safety and Survival.

He was outgoing, never met a stranger, enjoyed life to the fullest was quick-
witted and always straight to the point, was a loving father, grandfather and 
great-grandfather who will be forever missed. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. 
Donations to American Cancer Society, 614 Barrow St., Houma LA 70360; and the 
American Diabetes Association, 3340 Severn Ave., Suite 360, Metairie, LA 70002 
are preferred.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
