Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the K.C. Hall in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church in Chauvin, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her son, Donald Anthony Trahan; daughter, Anna Lee Trahan Watkins; son-in-law, James Watkins Sr.; grandchildren, Mindy Trahan Abadie, Jeremy J. Trahan, James Watkins Jr., Greg Watkins, Ginger Watkins, Mikki Marie Smigielski, Michael Watkins; great-grandchildren, Harlee, Cameron, Jessie Curole, Brock Bradley, Sophia, Skyler Lee, Tabatha and Evangeline; and great- great-grandchildren, Kylie and Ian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam A. Trahan; parents, Leonie and Mabel Portier Smith; and son, Ronald Trahan. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired from her job as a cook at Lacache Middle School. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, whom she always put before herself. Samart Funeral Home & Crematorium of Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
