Ruby Duplantis						[Photo]

Ruby Marie LeCompte Duplantis, 83, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:45 
a.m. Feb. 12, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon today at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in 
Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon today at the 
church, with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Myra D. Blanchard, Linda D. Smart and Faye D. 
Andras; brother, Ray LeCompte of Houma; sisters, Lou Jene Boudreaux, Bonnie 
Lapeyrouse and Emma Lee Porche of Houma; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lawrence Duplantis; parents, 
Claude and Carrie LeBoeuf LeCompte; brother, Bill LeCompte; sisters, Nell L. 
Domangue, Claudia L. Belinski and Joyce L. Marcel.

Donations to Bayou Region Hospice, 195 Corporate Drive, Houma, LA 70360, 876-
0163 are preferred.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
