Bilello, 93, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 1 p.m. Jan. 14, 2005. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Co- Cathedral in Thibodaux, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Zeringue Bilello; sons, A.J., Gregory "Buddy" and Leo Bilello; daughters, Lena Ledet and Betty Jean Daigle; stepson, Larry LeBlanc; stepdaughters, Marian Barker and Deannie Pere'; brothers, Sam, Joe and Tony Bilello; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie Bono Bilello; parents, A.J. and Lena Bilello; brothers, Lucien and Carlo Bilello. He was Catholic and a member of the Krewe of Christopher in Houma and Thibodaux and the Krewe of Chronos in Thibodaux. He was employed at Nicholls State University in the game room for more than 20 years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
