Garlington, 76, a native of Basile and resident of Lockport, died at 3:41 a.m. Jan. 5, 2005. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport and 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, J.B. Garlington; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty G. LeBlanc and Jeffrey LeBlanc Jr., Sandra G. Degruise and Blaine Degruise; sister, Stella Ledoux; grandchildren, Michelle LeBlanc, Ben LeBlanc and his wife Jessica, Jacob LeBlanc, Jon Degruise and Amanda Degruise. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennie and Dorceline Langley Marcantel; and half sister, Eva Reed Prejean. She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a retired teacher from Lockport Lower Elementary and Holy Savior Catholic School. Donations to Lockport Lower or Upper elementary schools are preferred. Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport is in charge of arrangements.
