A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Louise Poiencot Bonvillain of Houma; sons, Eugene Murphy Bonvillain Jr., Aurelie "A.J." Bonvillain, Perry Bonvillain, John Bonvillian and Kenneth Bonvillain Jr. of Houma; daughters, Brenda Voisin of Houma and Connie Trahan of Gulfport, Miss.; brother, E.J. Bonvillain of Houma; sister, Bell Gervais of Marrero; 33 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Idel Leonard Bonvillain; brothers, Hewitt, Ivy, Francis, Norris and Lawrence Bonvillain; sisters, Cecile, Irene and Effie Bonvillain and Clavia Brunet; one grandson; and one great- granddaughter. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired rigger with McDermott. He was a member of the East Park Volunteer Fire Department and was a parishioner of Holy Rosary. Chauvin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
