Gerfie Talbot

Gerfie LaGrange Talbot, 90, a native of Labadieville and resident of Schriever, 
died at 9:35 p.m. Jan. 21, 2005.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at noon today at St. Bridget Catholic 
Church in Schriever, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, E. J. and Steve Talbot; daughters, Marilyn 
Thibodaux, Barbara Boudreaux and Liz Benoit; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Talbot; 
sons-in-law, Paul Thibodaux and Nolan Benoit; sister, Lorraine Naquin; 
grandchildren, Terry, Donny and Todd Thibodaux, Jeff Borne, Clark Talbot, 
Stephanie Butcher, Trudy Ordoyne, Gregg Boudreaux, Angie Talbot, Rachel Zimmer, 
April and Allison Benoit; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo "T-nom" Talbot; parents, 
Ernestine B. and Sidney LaGrange; daughter, Ernestine "Tina" Talbot; brother, 
Dolphy LaGrange; sister, Effie LaGrange; and grandson, Bryan Boudreaux.

Her life was one of love, friendship, devotion and courage. She believed that 
family was everything, and she taught the values of love and respect for each 
other, good character, hard work and the love of God.

Thibodaux Funeral Home of Thibodaux was in charge of arrangements.
