Gertie Lyons						[Photo]

Gertie White Foret Lyons, 73, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 1:11 
a.m. Jan. 2, 2005.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Knights 
of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 
a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial at the 
church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Willie "Bill" Joseph Lyons; sons, Cecil Foret of 
Houma, Daniel "Danny" Foret of League City, Texas; daughters, Cedolia F. Smith 
of Woodlands, Texas; Lori Ann F. Duplantis of Chauvin and Catherine P. Trahan of 
Gray; brother, Adam James White; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 
two great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jervis Joseph Foret; parents, Clancy 
J. and Lena M. Benoit White; daughters, Sonia Ann Foret; brother, John Joseph 
White; sister, Pearly Marie Constrantiche; and granddaughter, Kimberly Smtih.

She was a retired housekeeping employee of Terrebonne General Medical Center.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
