Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Houma. A religious service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery in Houma. He is survived by his sons, Larry J. Cavalier Jr of Labadieville and Ronald J. Cavalier of Belle Chase; daughter, Fay C. Dix of Frisco, Texas; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hezeau Cavalier; parents, Atanas and Lucy Cedatol Cavalier; daughter, Barbara C. Labat; brothers, Leo, Henry and Harry Cavalier; sisters, Anna and Mary Ann Cavalier. He was a retired relay operator with Freeport Sulphur Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
