Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery in Houma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Effie Taylor; parents, Maurice Joseph and Mary Mabel Eschete Bergeron; brothers, Donald Anthony, Ernest Joseph and Clark Joseph Bergeron Sr.; sister, Lois Rita Bundy. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served two tours of duty in Germany. He loved being with family and friends, watching Saints and LSU football, going to his camp "La Bonne Vie" at Grand Pass for fishing, playing pitty patt, boiling seafood. He was a retired electrician after 20 years of service with Southdown Sugars. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
