Marie Pitre

Marie Fournier Pitre, 88, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 12:10 a.m. 
Jan. 3, 2005.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Falgout 
Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 
a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland, with burial at 
the church cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Benton Pitre; and his fiancee, Twila Quick; 
brothers, Glynn, Gene and Peter Fournier; grandchild, Nicole Pitre; and step-
grandchild, Coy Thibodaux.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Pitre; parents, Etienne "T-Chan" 
and Cecile Lodridge Fournier; brothers, John, Herbert, Novene, Etienne, Alden, 
Lester and Robert Fournier.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Church in Raceland.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
