Maxine Johnson						[Photo]

Maxine Sims Johnson, 61, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Jan. 5, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Moses Baptist Church in 
Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 
with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, James Johnson Sr. of Thibodaux; sons, Jason and 
Jarrod Johnson of Thibodaux; sister, Ernestine Washington of Thibodaux; 
stepsister, Diana Carter of Thibodaux, stepbrother, Elward Carter of Thibodaux; 
and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia Carter, stepfather, Thomas 
Carter; son, James Johnson Jr.; and brother, Morrell Carter.

She was a member of Moses Baptist Church.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
