Jackson Braud, 82, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 9:55 p.m. Jan. 7, 2005. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Genevieve Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Capo Braud; sons, Richard James, John Oliver and Michael Joseph Braud; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Braud, June Ellen B. Wilson and Cynthia Ann B. Dehart; brother, Charles Henry Braud; and grandchildren, Laura, Rob, Emily and Stephanie Wilson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lee Porche Braud; and parents, Oliver "Buck" Henry Braud and Emellian Petite Braud. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1114 and Past Commander of VFW Post No. 5097. Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
