Rita Maronge Bourgeois, 78, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 1:07 
p.m. Jan. 25, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. A Mass of 
Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Co-cathedral 
in Thibodaux, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her sons, Eves, Jeffery and Jimmy Bourgeois; daughters, 
Raydell Pitre, Laura Tiegen, Linda Gros, Irene Hebert and Sharon Domangue; 
brother, Adam Maronge; 34 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and one great-
great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Bourgeois Sr.; parents, Eves 
and Henrietta Adams Maronge; sons, Wilson Jr. and Allen Bourgeois; brothers, 
Camille, Clement and Emile Maronge; and sister, Verna Babin.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
