Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Betty Flinchum Chauvin of Houma; two sons, Roy Chauvin Jr. and wife, Sally, of Natchez, Miss., and Bill Chauvin and wife, Ellen, of Thibodaux; one daughter, Vickie LeBlanc and husband, Joseph "Bubba," of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Bert and Emery Chauvin of Houma; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Chauvin and Mabel Engeron Chauvin; and two grandchildren, Steven McCann and Joseph LeBlanc IV. He was self-employed with Ram Rod Construction and a retired musician and songwriter in the Houma area. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
