Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. A graveside service will be held at St. Bridget's cemetery after the Mass. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Winonah Smiley Broussard; son, Wilmore "Bill" J. Broussard III of Schriever; sisters, Betty Anne doucet of Lafayette and Melba Delores Middleton of Dallas; brother, Rodrick B. Broussard of Colfax; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmore J. Broussard Sr. and Edna Casey Broussard. He was a U.s. Army Air Force pilot and veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Elizabeth High School and LSU Law School. He was a retired district judge. He was a former commander of the American legion in Houma, a member of the Knights of Columbus and VFW and belonged to numerous civic organizations. He served 12 years as district attorney and was a -district judge for more than 16 years.
