Elsie Mae Billiot, 53, a native and resident of Grand Bois, died at 2:30 a.m. 
May 29, 2005.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church in Grand Bois. A religious service will be held at 12:30 
p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at Rogers Cemetery in Bayou Blue.

She is survived by her husband, Sterling Billiot; son, Michael Gerard Verdin 
Jr.; daughters, Vicki Bonvillain, Michelle Dye, Tabitha Upton, Dodia Matherne, 
Dena Billiot and Mardanda Billiot; brothers, Alcee Jr., Willie, Douglas, Danny, 
Donald and Davy Billiot; sisters, Rena Cushing, Louann Verdin, Lori Dehart and 
Susan Dominique; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Gerard Verdin Sr.; 
parents, Alcee and Mildred Billiot; grandchildren, Michael Billiot and Andrea 
Vizier; brothers, Rusty, Dean and Robin; and sister, Melissa Billiot.

She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Donations to the family are 
preferred.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
