Gilbert "Fish" Joseph Dempster, 43, a native and resident of Vacherie, died at 1 
p.m. May 30, 2005.

Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and 8 to 11 a.m. 
Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. A Mass of Christian 
burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at the 
church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Melford E. Jr. and Joan C. Dempster; brothers, 
Randal, Roy and Ron Dempster, all of Vacherie; and sisters, Pamela D. Falgoust 
of Vacherie and Annette D. Lisle of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melford and Leonise Dempster, 
Gilbert and Noelie Cortez.

He was employed by the Lafourche Basin Levee District for 20 years.
