A musical tribute will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers in Lafayette, with a religious service at 7 p.m. and visitation until 9 p.m. His cremated ashes will be interred in the Resurrection Mausoleum at St. Hilary of Poitiers Church in Raceland next to his parents. He is survived by one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Joseph Hargis Jr. and Ethelyn Marie Elliott. He was disabled and a lifelong Louisiana resident. He attended Lafayette High School. He was a member of the Key Club and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was active in Boy Scouts of America. At the University of Southwestern Louisiana, he was an active member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.
