Irene Johnson

Irene C. Johnson, 80, a native and resident of Abbeville, died June 21, 2005.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville with 
a Rosary recitation at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 
11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Francis "Johnny" and Angie 
Johnson of West Columbia and Blaine and Crystal Johnson of Columbia; sister and 
brother-in-law, Eula and Lloyd Duhon of Port Arthur, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 
and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Johnson; parents, Numa Joseph 
Lege and Lavenie Marie LeBlanc; and daughter, Nancy Rogers.

She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church on Fort Jackson. She lived 
for her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a 
cure for everything and a magic couch that worked wonders for all who were 
privileged enough to enjoy its powers.
