John Valdes Sr.					[Photo]

John F. Valdes Sr., 59, a native of Camaguey, Cuba, and resident of Houma, died 
at 2:14 p.m. June 21, 2005.

Visitation will be 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home. A Mass of 
Christian burial will be celebrated at 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Price Valdes; mother, Rosina Ruiz Valdes; 
son, John F. Valdes Jr.; brother, Ricky Valdes; sister, Elba V. Matherne; and 
four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Valdes; and daughter, 
Marcelite Marie Valdes.

He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Donations to help with funeral expenses are preferred.
