Melvin Williams Jr., 63, a native of Belle Rose and resident of Donaldsonville, 
died Sunday, June 19, 2005.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Williams and Southall Funeral 
Home, 101 Loop 945 Donaldsonville, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Emmanuel 
Baptist Church, La. 1, Donaldsonville. Burial will be held at the church 
cemetery.

He is survived by step-daughters Liza Williams, Barbara Miller, Judy, Donna and 
Sheila Sullivan, all of Donaldsonville; step-sons William Cooks, Clarence 
Williams, and Anthony and Richard Sullivan, all of Donaldsonville; brothers 
Donald and Murphy Williams of Belle Rose, and Herbert and Willie Williams of New 
Orleans; sisters Carolyn Landry of Belle Rose, and Viola Howard and Cora Mae 
Elphage of New Orleans. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other 
relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Melvin Williams Sr.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
