Thelma Amedee Lassere, 85, a native and resident of Vacherie, died June 8, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in 
Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the 
church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Roland Bourgeois and 
Joan Lasseigne; sons and daughters-in-law, Errol Sr. "Boogie" and Janice, Eddie 
Jr. and Carol Ann, Louis and Debra; sister, Isabelle A. Dutrieux; 15 
grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lassere Sr.; son-in-law, Ronald 
"Billy" Lasseigne; parents, Stephen and Amazelie Sarpy Amedee; brothers, Semar 
and Louis Amedee; sisters, Armande A Steib, Stephanie A. Borne and Edna A. 
Steib.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a committed adorer of Our Lady of Peace Adoration Chapel and an avid 
Atlanta Braves fan.

She was devoted to her family and friends.

Donations to St. Joseph Hospice of Bayou Region, 909 Canal Blvd., Thibodaux, LA 
70301 are preferred.

Ourso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
