Wayne Bourgeois

Dr. Wayne "Boudin" John Bourgeois, 56, professor and research Coordinator for 
LSU Agriculture Center, died May 30, 2005.

Visitation will be 5 to 11 p.m. today at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 
Pontchartrain Blvd. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. 
Friday at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3101 Eton St., New Orleans 
with burial in Metairie Cemetery.

Beloved husband for 26 years of Debra B. Bourgeois. Loving father of Kimberly 
Nicole Bourgeois and Amy Elizabeth Bourgeois. Beloved son of Claude T. Bourgeois 
and the late Maude Allemand Bourgeois. Brother of Gene Bourgeois, Royce 
Bourgeois, Brenda Bascle and the late Barbara Cancienne. He is also survived by 
his beloved pets. He was a graduate of Nicholls University and received his 
masters and Ph.D. in horticulture from Louisiana State University. He was a 
member of Florida State Horticulture Society, Louisiana Department of 
Agriculture and Forestry, LSU College of Agriculture Board of Directors, 
American Society Horticulture Science, Miss/Lou Blueberry Growers Association 
and the Deep South Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association. He was an avid 
fisherman and gourmet cook.
