Martin, 64, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Schriever, died Monday, March 21, 2005. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, followed by burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jane Marchand Martin; a son, Derrin Martin; two daughters, Darlene Hattier and Mary Benson; a sister, Ada Lawless; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Richard Martin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brothers of the Sacred Heart, New Orleans Province, 45 Elysian Fields Ave., New Orleans, LA, 70122.
