Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette, with burial following at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gerald Joseph Brown of Houma; a daughter, Laura Brown Thibodaux of Gray; two brothers, Albert Delaune Jr. and Alvin Delaune Sr. of Houma; two sisters, Sandra D. Rhodes of Mississippi and Nancy D. Mann of Kissimmee, Fla.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Sr. and Laura Saintes Delaune; a son, Gerald Brown Jr.; and a daughter, Loretta Brown Pamplin. She was a homemaker. She was a past member of the Krewe of Cleophas in Thibodaux. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished her time with all of her family, loved to cook and to fish in her earlier days. Even throughout her illness, she fought it bravely and will be missed for her heart of gold. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
