A visitation will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, and from 9 Wednesday until the 11 a.m. religious services at Morning Star Baptist Church in Labadieville. The services will be conducted by the Rev. McCullen Williams. Burial will be at the church cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Cora Lee Patterson; two sons, Charles Patterson Jr. and Charles Charles Patterson III; one daughter, Audrey Patterson; he also reared Herbert and Gloria Thomas, Olanda and Mark Johnson; six brothers, James Thomas, Willard, Eddie, John L., Robert and Harold Patterson; two sisters, Naomi Plant and Beaulah Robinson; one aunt, Rosie Lee King; six sisters-in-law, Doris, Joyce and Shirley Patterson, Rosemary Thomas, Audrey Mae Rohilliard and Dorothy Kennedy; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Plant Sr. and Edward Hamilton Sr.; and a lifelong friend, Charles Jones Sr.; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee Audrey Hamilton Patterson; his father, Etienne Patterson; two sisters, Audrey Flemings and Enola Ollis; and a brother, Alvin Patterson Sr. Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
