Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Thibodaux at Lafourche Crossing. A religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at Young men's Benevolent Cemetery at Lafourche Crossing. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Magee Verrett of Gretna; son, Robert Paul Verrett of Atlanta, Ga; stepsons, Wilson Theodore of Norfolk Va., and Marcus Theodore of Lees Summit, Mo.; daughters, Sandra Folse and Rose Verrett of Thibodaux, and Avis Verrett of Raceland; stepdaughters, Tiffany Theodore of Terrytown and Cherrie Carruthers of Lees Summit, Mo.; brother, Royal Verrett of New Orleans; sisters, Fannie Lofton, and Helen Washington of Raceland; 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Johnson Verrett; brother, Joseph Verrett, and sister, Eleanor Verrett. His hobbies included fishing and washing cars. Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
