Wiley, 57, a native of Livingston, Texas and a resident of Lafayette, died at 8:08 a.m. March 7, 2005. Visitation will be 4:30 to 9 p.m. today ant 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at David Funeral Home in Lafayette. A religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at David Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cecelia Migues Wiley of Lafayette, father, Henry Wiley of Cut Off; daughters, Chantise Gros and husband Kevin of Larose and Jessica De Luca of Lafayette; sister, Cindy Scanlon and her husband Pat of Baton Rouge; Alex, Emily and Caroline Gros, and his mother in law, Jeanelle Migues of Biloxi, Miss. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Reaves Wiley; and daughter, Jennifer Wiley. He retired from Conoco Oil after 30 years of service as a safety consultant. He continued to work in that field since and was currently working for D.C. International in Lafayette. He loved his occupation and had a strong work ethic. He enjoyed football and was a Saints and LSU fan. But most of all, he loved his family. He was a gentle and caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed.
