Dennis J. Chiasson, 96, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, March 
22, 2005.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Co-cathedral 
in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church at 3 
p.m. Wednesday, followed by burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by three sons, Irvin Chiasson and wife Margaret, Nolan Chiasson 
and wife Alice, and Allen Chiasson and wife Audrey; two daughters, Essie and 
husband Junius Arabie, and Della and husband Floyd Degruise; a brother, Huey 
Chiasson; three sisters, Elise Morvant, Rita Thibodeaux and Shirley Boudreaux; 
22 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ulyssia Morvant Chiasson; parents, Alcee 
and Laura Chiasson; a brother, Clarence Chiasson; and three sisters, Leonise 
Gauthier, Olivia Morvant and Maria Gauthier.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
