Babin, 80, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 12:15 a.m. March 23, 2005. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland. He is survived by two sons, Gary J. and Robert P. Babin; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elena Foret Babin; his second wife, Edna Dufrene Babin; his parents, Joe and Cecile Ledet Babin; two brothers, E.A. and U.J. Babin; and one sister Eula Benoit. He was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church. He was a retired bus driver for the Lafourche Parish public school system. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
