Joseph George

Dr. Joseph Moses George, 90, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 8:46 
a.m. March 16, 2005.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. A 
religious service will take place at noon Friday at the funeral home, with 
burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Elma Brupbacher George; son, Joseph Marc George; 
daughter, Janice Finane; sister, Gertrude Bonvillain; four grandchildren; and 
three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Nora Bashara George; a son, 
Joseph Moses George Jr.; and brothers, Gabriel, Albert and Michael George.

He was a charter member of the Thibodaux Lions Club and a doctor of optometry 
for 53 years.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
