A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her son, Larry James Rodrigue; daughters, Betty R. Amedee, Peggy R. Duet and Deanna R. Oubre; brothers, Earless J. Orgeron and Ferdie Orgeron; sisters, Earline O. Pitre, Renella O. Ledet and Iola O. St. Pierre; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude N. Rodrigue; parents, Abel J. and Celina Griffin Orgeron; grandson, Lane J. Duet; great-grandson, Blake Ryan Oubre; brother, Lawrence Orgeron; and stepmother, Adeline Orgeron. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, a Lay Carmalite, a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Senior Citizen Center 6th Ward. She was an avid quilter and a participant in the Senior Olympics. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
