Linus Blanchard					[Photo]

Linus Joseph Blanchard, 88, a native of Bourg and resident of Houma, died at 
4:15 p.m. March 7, 2005, in a pedestrian accident.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Ann Catholic Church 
in Bourg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at the 
church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Della Arcement Blanchard of Houma; son, Kenneth 
Blanchard of Houma; daughter, Judith Hicks of Houma; sister, Mabel Guidry of 
Houma; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay Blanchard and Albertine Champagne 
Blanchard; brothers, Raoul Blanchard and Ivan Blanchard; and sister, Allie 
Babin.

He was self-employed with Blanchard House Plan Service. He was a U.S. Army 
veteran.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
