Maurice Scioneaux Sr.

Maurice "Raccoon" Joseph Scioneaux Sr., 72, a native and resident of Vacherie, 
died at 10:56 a.m. March 29, 2005.

Visitation will be 8:45 to 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church 
in Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at 
the church, with burial at the church mausoleum.

He is survived by his wife, Louisiana Cortez Scioneaux of Vacherie; daughter and 
son-in-law, Kathy and Dwane Stein of Vacherie; sons and daughters-in-law, 
Maurice Jr. and Jenna Scioneaux and Randy Scioneaux, all of Vacherie and Faron 
and Jennee' Scioneaux of Paulina; brother, Belonie Scioneaux of Chackbay; eight 
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Yvonne Hymel and Marion 
BieVenue; brothers, Ernest Jr. and Joseph Scioneaux.

He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville is in charge of arrangements.
