Rodney Usea Sr.

Rodney "Possum" Lawrence Usea Sr., 66, a native and resident of Kraemer, died at 
6:44 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Monday at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in Kraemer. Mass will be at 10 
a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Eugenia "Skeezie" Matherne Usea; two sons, Rodney 
"Rat" Usea Jr. and wife, Miranda Nicholas Usea, and Michael "Sourie" Usea and 
wife, Brandy Henninger Usea; two brothers, Ernest Ralph Usea and Robert Usea; 
two sisters, Emma Usea Benoit and Mabel Usea Cortez; and three grandchildren, 
Gina Usea, Nicholas Usea and Collin Usea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manson and Yvonne Cortez Usea.

He was an insulator at Avondale Shipyard and was a member of Bayou Bouef Fire 
Department.

He loved fishing and going to the camp.

He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church.
