Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A liturgy of the word will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Marie Deroche Hebert of Houma; sons Kirby Hebert, Eugene Hebert and Alcide Hebert Jr.; daughters Evelyn Trahan, Earline Adams, Carolyn Theriot, Gail Trahan and Mary Parker; brothers Caliste Hebert and Alta Hebert; sister Estellina Hebert Delatte; 28 grandchildren; 47 great- grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Alcee Hebert and Belle Mahler Hebert; grandchild Eliska Trahan; brothers Willis "Bill" Hebert, Leonard Hebert, Exo Hebert, Huey Hebert and Wilburt Hebert; and sisters Emily Hebert Hunter and Adeline Hebert Fanguy. He was a retired self-employed trapper and fur buyer. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
