Charles Steib

Charles "Plook" Steib, 67, a native and resident of Vacherie, died at 2:45 a.m. 
May 15, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in 
Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at 
the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria Geason Steib; sons, Jerome and Gerald Sr. 
of New Orleans and Donavon Steib of Vacherie; daughters, Monica and Cristy Steib 
of Vacherie; mother, Lucille Dumas Steib; brothers, Joseph, John and Wilbert 
Steib of Vacherie; sisters, Audrey Steib of Vacherie, Rose and Joseph Long of 
Lutcher and Geneva and Maurice Perez of Harvey; seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clerville Steib Sr.; brothers, Clerville 
Jr. and Raymond Steib; and sister, Caroline Gautier.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
