A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Lora Cheramie Hebert; son, Jeff Hebert; daughters, Gail M. Hebert Cheramie and Sandra M. Hebert Stewart; brother, Alvin Hebert; sister, Alverta H. Cheramie; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Romanda Cheramie Hebert; parents, Early and Lucille Dufrene Hebert; son-in-law, Peter John Cheramie; brothers, Eroy and Surgis Hebert; and sister, Mary Ann H. Matherne. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. He was a retired superintendent for North American Shipbuilders with 27 years experience. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
