Douglas Granier					[Photo]

Douglas Granier, 55, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at noon May 9, 
2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Episcopal Church in 
Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Granier; mother, Anna Ordoyne Granier Roberson; 
daughters, Jane Elizabeth and Sara Catherine Granier; brother, Larry Joseph 
Granier; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Douglas Granier.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Granier.

He was a retired school principal with the Lafourche Parish School Board. In 
recent years, he returend to the service of education in Assumption and 
Lafourche Parish.

His intelligence and love of children, peppered by his keen and caustic wit, 
combined to make him a devoted and loving father, a memorable teacher, a helpful 
and available neighbor and a cherished friend.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
