Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Houma. A religious service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlene Weightman Shrigley; brother, Richard Shrigley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Tressie Gobbie Shrigley. He loved sports, woodworking, gardening, good food and telling jokes. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Donations to First United Methodist Church, 6108 La. 311, Houma, LA 70360 are preferred. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
