The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ May 20. 2005 12:00AM Ida Mae Pearley Ida Mae Melancon Pearley, 76, a native of Paincourtville and resident of Belle Rose, died May 14, 2005 at her daughter's home in New Orleans. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Baptist Church in Paincourtville. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Pearley; daughters, Jo Ann Pearley Simien of Shalimar, Fla., Peggy Pearley Fogan and Lois Pearley Ratcliff of New Orleans; sisters, Louise Matthews of Paincourtville and Venolia Robinson of New Orleans; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Fannie Melancon; and brothers, Oscar Lloyd and Cleveland Melancon. She was a retired teacher. She was a member of St. Charles Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher and on the usher board. Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
