Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Meryl Poincot Caldwell; son, Kevin Adams; daughter, Jamie Caldwell; stepdaughter, Annette Bruno; brothers, Jerry and Steven Caldwell; sisters, Margaret Chester and Jeanie Wise; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Barbara Caldwell. He was the principal of religious education at St. Louis Church in Bayou Blue. He was a member of the pastoral council, CYO and served as a eucharistic minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered at Bayou Blue Elementary School. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
