Melanie Valdez

Melanie P. Valdez, 51, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died 
4:35 p.m. May 11, 2005.

A religious service was held at 11 a.m. today at Christian Faith Fellowship 
Church in Houma, with burial at St. Francis No. 1 Cemetery in Houma.

She is survived by her son, Joshua M. Valdez; daughter, Jessica Valdez Naquin; 
brother, Richard "Dickie" Picou; sisters, Frances P. Doucette, Marie Louise P. 
Fonseca and Lillian P. Theriot; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isadore and Juliana Eschete Picou.

She was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
