Melba Bougere

Melba Fair Bougere, 60, a native of Paincourtville and resident of Labadieville, 
died May 9, 2005.

Visitation will be 2 to 4:30 p.m. today at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in 
Napoleonville and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church in 
Paincourtville. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her devoted friend, Richard Daggs; daughters, Paulette 
McBride and Charlene Nelson of Labadieville, Annette Brown of Gonzales; sons, 
Wayne Bougere of Plattenville and Freddie Bougere of Gibson; fosterson, Ricky 
Fair; five sisters; two brothers, 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Bougere Jr.; parents, Hillary 
Fair Sr. and Irene Fair; a sister; and a brother.

She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
