Oneil Plaisance

Oneil "Rooster" Plaisance, 82, a native of Lockport and resident of Cut Off, 
died at 7:20 p.m. April 30, 2005.

Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in Cut Off. A 
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 
with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ella Mae Terrebonne Plaisance; sons, 
Michael and Perry Plaisance; daughters, Laura Lee Duet and Elaine Knight; 
brother, Edwin Plaisance; sisters, Francis Stevens, Margie Landeche, Jenny 
DeFelice, Rea Muller and Winnie Camardelle; grandchildren, Todd, Jason Duet, 
Brad, Justin, Matthew, Mariah, Doug, Beau and Lisa Plasance; and great-
grandchildren, Magen and Amber Duet and Alexia Plaisance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Sr. and Alida LeBlanc Plaisance; 
brothers, Warren, Frank and Emile Plaisance Jr.; sister, Gonet LeBouef; and 
granddaughter, Marissa Duet.

He was a charter member of VFW Post 8538 of Larose and the American Legion Post 
of Galliano.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
