Peter Cheramie

Peter John Cheramie, 47, a native of Galliano and resident of Larose, died at 11 
p.m. May 10, 2005.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Samart 
Funeral Home in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 
a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose, with burial at the 
church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Hebert Cheramie; father, Joseph Cheramie; 
daughters, Brandy Marie Cheramie Dufrene and Teagan Alexandria Cheramie; 
brothers, David, Rodney and Andrew Cheramie; sisters, Ramona Kirby and Alice 
Lee; and grandchild, Alexander Dufrene.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earline Foret Cheramie; grandparents, 
Theophile and Louise Cheramie, Anatole and Alice Foret.

He was an astronomer, an avid book reader, a photographer, community volunteer, 
selfless caregiver and carpenter. He loved knowledge and was a master tinkerer.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
